My Great Great Aunt lived in AZ and made artwork similar to these. I've only seen western scenes by here but I have one with the same chalky black background. Interested in finding more like these. Her painted backgrounds are the coolest.

I doubt this set predates the 1950`s, there were kits you could buy at hobby shops to make these during the 50`s and 60`s. We`d probably retail the set for under $75.00 as a decorator item.
