Description
The bottle is labeled on one side in raised letters, Travelers Companion with an eight pointed star in the center and on the opposite side the bottle is labeled in raised letters, Ravenna Glass Company with the eight pointed star in the center. I would like to know the value of this bottle if any one can let me know
Re: Travelers Companion Flask
Does any one know the value of this bottle? I have checked on many web sights but only found the Ravenna Glass Company history and some pictures of some similar bottles, but I have found no bottles like this for sale or any thing that might sugest what this bottle may be worth.
Re: Travelers Companion Flask
Hello! Your flask looks like a pint and has an iron pontil. Condition is EVERYTHING when it comes to flasks and bottles, but your looks to be in good condition with some minor staining, or maybe it's just a shadow? Any wear, chips, scuffs, scratches, etc. can impact the value greatly. Your example also has a cool crooked neck which adds to it's appeal. In general, aqua Ravenna pints tend to sell in the $250-$450 range, again dependent upon condition. Other colors (amber and green) can go for a thousand, to a few thousand dollars and up! Hope this info helps!
BTW: I like your name. I live in CT and saw FZ 12 times before his death. Feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] and I'll be happy to send you a few live recordings.
Best,
Doug
