Yellow stone gold ring

This looks like it could be citrine. The band is 10k. It was my grandmother's from the 1930's & 1940's.

Looks like it could be sapphire too. That would make the value higher than a citrine. Not sure of price.

Pieces with precious or semi-precious stones really require a physical examination by a jemologist to determine what you have.

Yes, a gemologist or you can get you a refractometer and study how to identify gemstones, fairly easy. But if you are not into learning it would be best to have a jeweler or one who knows a lot about gemstones look at it.

the facets seem to be worn at the egdes saying to me it is not a diamond or sapphire.
