Accurate Description of Item
Unique Florence Oil Range-
Appraiser Remarks
Several companies made comparable oil stoves and space heaters right into the 1950's, most like this one tend to predate WW2 (1939). Many areas of the USA did not have electrification or gas services until the late 1930's and some rural areas into the 1950's.They could burn kerosene or furnace oil, some had their own portable tanks, others could be hooked up direct to larger standard outdoor or basement fuel tanks. There is not much demand for them today, and were discarded as soon as electric or gas services became available, many ended up in scrap metal drives during World War Two. Today they are more of a historical curiosity than a valuable collectible and sell for under $100.00.
Estimated Value
