WWII Japanese tin medical bottle

By DebCuno, 4 February, 2020
Description

This bottle belonged to my father who was a medic in the Pacific islands during WWII. It measures approx 2 1/2" tall from cork to bottom and approx 1 3/4" wide. It is army green with a paper label on the front with Japanese writing. I would like to know what it was used for and then if there is any value in it.  Thanks!

Re: WWII Japanese tin medical bottle

Thank you.  I suspected that might be the pupose of the bottle, but at the time I started researching a few years back, I couldn't locate any photo of the exact item. There still seems to be some doubt as to it's usage, but at least this supports my theory. I saw the estimate, but could not find the actual selling price. Appreciate your help!! I am new to this site and already love it!

I'm new here too, found it kind of by mistake. It's very cool to see what people have and fun to try and figure it out and maybe help. And thank you for approving my comment.
