Brass pendant lights with glass inserts

By krv1282, 12 April, 2018
Description

This is a pair of hanging pendant lights in our entry way. I believe they're old but I can't find anything similar to compare them to. The light length is 9", 5 1/2" wide at the top, 4" wide at the bottom. The glass is decorative. There is no marking on them and the top hanging plate doesn't appear to be original. We've been told that the person who built this house brought items up from an old plantation in Kentucky that burnt down. We have pillars on our front porch from there, brick, etc. I'm wondering if these lights could be from there? I believe that house dated back to the 1920's. These also could be something they bought new when they built the house in 1969. However, the fact that there is no markings on them makes me wonder. We have a chandelier that's similar - very ornate brass and has lots of hanging crystals. Any info is appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Brass pendant lights with glass inserts

I have an exact same pair, it is dated for 1967, they are 52 years old, mine has a union made sticker as well. I am also trying to find out the appraisal price

Re: Brass pendant lights with glass inserts

No big value I'm afraid, under $150.00 at most shops. These were mass produced items made through the early 70's and not considered rare in the current market.
