Marlinde Von Ruhs was born in the city of Salzburg, Austria and studied in the Arts Academy of Dusseldorf, the Plastic Arts Academy of Vienna, Des Sehens School, she studied under Oskar Kokoshka in Salzburg, Austria. She also studied at The Art Students League in New York and the University of Berkeley in California.
Her resume included participation in 14 collective shows in United States, Germany, Switzerland and Mexico, as well as nearly twenty solo exhibitions in Germany, Switzerland, United States, France and Mexico. Among them those of the Cabañas Institute and the El Carmen Ex-convent in Guadalajara, the Museum of the People in Guanajuato, and La Jolla Museum in California, United States.
