Antique French Provincial Couch and Chair

Profile picture for user Lovejoy
By Lovejoy, 5 April, 2018
Accurate Description of Item
Late 1940's French Provincial Couch and Chair
Appraiser Remarks

Furniture City Upholstery was a manufacturer of the Quality Line of informal upholstered living room sofas and chairs, operating from 1920-1977.

Sadly the market for upholstered furniture is currently flooded due to the downsizing of the Baby Boom Generation and Estate clearances of their own parents generation.

Values for furniture of this type and style depends a great deal on the condition and style of the upholstery, but even for sets where the upholstery is in good condition values tend to be modest compared to the cost of a new suite of comparable style. At auctions suites similar to yours often now sell for under $300.00
Estimated Value
$500.00- $700.00
