Accurate Description of Item
One 1930's Louis XVI Style Salon Suite
Appraiser Remarks
Based on the images this suite dates from the late 1920's through early 1930's and it's in the Louis XVI style , which has gone through a number of revivals in popularity since it's original creation in the mid 1700's. Most of the more elaborate pieces like this tend to be Continental in origin rather than North American, very few carry any maker's marks or labels that survive. The style is not currently in vogue, last peaking in value during the 1980's, values depend a great deal on the condition and type of upholstery material. Sets in need of some restoration or upholstery tend to sell for a good deal less than sets in very good condition.
Estimated Value
$1500.00- $2000.00
