Folk Art? Purchased in Scotland

Description

Picked up this carved display in Scotland, but I beieve it came from the US. Hand carved Winchester, carved bullets, pics, displayed in shadowbox. Any idea if it is worth anything?

Bought at a church from 1800s that was converted into a restaurant. It was sitting on a table. The story is that new owner threw it out several times and it kept reappearing.

it s a newer wall hanger  piece . the story is neat on how it kept coming back when eh threw it away. it would be really nice if the metal piece was really from a real winchester gun. im just guessing it was made out of wood also. i have seen a lot of these little wall hanger shadow boxes over the years at the antique shows for sales. a gun shop might like it to hang on the wall as a deccoration.
