Colored Chinese medallion from People's Bank of China

I have a large Chinese medallion.  It represents The Year of The Tiger (2010).  Does anybody know what is stated on this coin and what kind of value it has?  I'm also wondering what kind of material it is made out of.  It is heavy and around 7 or 8 inches in diameter.  The display stand states "People's Republic Of China".  Thanks.
