Summers Gold

By jessicawike, 15 January, 2014
Description

Found this painting in an old house my mother was going to move into. Its of a pretty flower in a paleish mustard color frame and a signature on the back of it was signed Vernon Ward with the title Summers Gold. I looked him up online and he was a famous painter born in the late 1800's and died in the 1950s. I have looked at auctions online for his paintings and none of the paintings i saw were this one. When i did an image search on Google there was only ONE picture of it and it was NOT one that i had posted on the internet anywhere. Someone please help me to identify if this was a real painting done by Vernon Ward or if it was forged.

Re: Summers Gold

It's near impossible to judge authenticity of a painting online.  You would be best off taking it to an appraiser near you for a proper hands-on examination.
