Not sure exactly what I have or what the value is

By jessjones423, 18 August, 2012
Description

The piece is very heavy for its size. The base is in the shape of an iron and is hollowed out in the middle. There are decorative markings on the side of the piece. The entire piece is metal including what looks to be the handle. I have been in a toss up between either a vintage minature iron or an old battleship. The toy is made out of cast iron Next to the handle there is another similar "handle" but it is much smaller.

This looks like a Victorian iron , it was heated by burning charcoal inside it. Does it open?

It's a late Victorian iron, no huge value, you see them all the time on Ebay. here's a link for you:

Thanks for the link, I see the resemblance but some of those irons are $100, I have yet to find one exactly like mine... I just want to know if it's possibly worth some value
