Whitehall Pottery Works A.D. Ruckel & Son, Props #2 crock/jug

Description

good condition crock/jug. Found in my fathers shed, was a blacksmith shop in the 1900s. Ive been told its a moonshine still. Stamped on it in blue is Whitehall Pottery Works A.D. Ruckel and Son, Props. and the #2.

History
Found in my fathers old shed, used to be a blacksmith shop back in the 1900s. Ive been told its a moonshine jug. I have a smaller one as well with no stamps or writing.

I also have a smaller one with no stamp markings. exact same color and shape with no markings.

These jugs were used to hold anything from turpentine to whiskey right up until the 1930's , most like this eaxple date about 1880-1900 and sell at auction for about $75.00
