HELLO, I HAVE A SILVER BOX, HINGED TOP LID, ABOUT 10 INCHES LONG, 3.5 INCHES WIDE, 2 INCHES THICK, IT IS WOOD LINED INSIDE, I THINK IT DATES TO THE 1960s , IT HAS A LION ON A CROWN ON TOP AND THE FOLLOWING ON THE BOTTOM; EGW&S, IS ,THEN INTERNATIONAL SILVER CO, EPNS, C44/37...CAN YOU TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT THIS ITEM OR DIRECT ME TO SOMEONE, THANKS

What it looks like to me, is a humidor for storing tobacco products such as cigars.
EGW&S is the company E. G. Webster & Son of Brooklyn NY. The firm was in business from 1886-1928 and was purchased by International Silver Co. As for the value I am not sure

I'd go along with describing this item as a humidor .
The EPNS means Electro-Plated Nickle-Silver .
You might consider checking out cigar-related collector forums &/or vintage tobacco items on-line , to possibly find out more specifics .
