Description
I've looked for info on these clear Glasbake deviled clam shell shaped dishes. They are footed to hold the contents level. I've taken pictures. I have a set of 5 and I don't think they have ever been used. Stamped USA Glasbake and different numbers under each Glasbake mark. There's an 11, 9, 8, 7 and 5 I'm going to try to post pics here. Hopefully they will work. I would probably be interested in selling them.
Re: Glasbake Deviled Clam Dishes
The McKee Glass Company was founded in 1843 (As McKee and Brothers Glass) in Pittsburgh, PA. In 1961 Jeannette Glass bought McKee Glass Division. Glasbake was originally produced by McKee Glass. In 1970 Jeannette Glass Co. became Jeanetter Corporation. McKee Glass not only made items under its own name but also produced under the "Glasbake" name.
These probably date from the 60's. I saw several clam shell sets online in clear and milk glass, all sold for $4.00-$15.00 a set.
They also made glass crab shells for deviled crab, neat looking things.
