WWII Nazi medals and medallians

By HippyxKitty, 5 July, 2009
Description

The item was willed to me by my grandfather who served as infantry in Europe during WWII. I was told that each medal was taken off of a man he'd killed (The ones he could retrieve an item from) My grandfather was a religious man and believed that the taking of a life was wrong, he explained that he kept each medal to honor the accomplishments and valor of the men who's lives he was forced to take. Knowing that I was a WWII enthusiast, he willed the medals, along with several stamps (worth between 10 and 25 dollars each) and the English to German dictionary he used while deployed, to me upon his death.

They say a variety of different things,

two of them say "1939"

one is inscribed with "1.Hess.Nass.Provinzial- Feurwehrtag Fulda 28.-30. Juni 1935"

And another with "1938", "Reichsparteitag"

Most contain swastikas.

Re: WWII Nazi medals and medallians

What you have is a Merritt medal with swords about $175?

Next those are called tinnies gave out during parades or party members would go door to door asking for donations and then they would give you one of those also they made them to commemorate certain events. They go for about $25 to $50 depending what it was for.

Lastly the cog wheel is a stick pin. That one is to commemorate labor and the other item is a rank pip that went on a shoulder bored. Stick pin $20 and pip $10
