Description
This is a strange little metal ball that opens up in the middle. It has small cut outs all over it, some of them seem to be in the shape of hearts. It has a latch to keep it closed in the middle and is empty on the inside. It's 3" in diameter. Please help me identify this object. All posts are appreciated.

It is called a Friendship ball. You put things inside and give to a friend and then that friend someday gives it back to you with gifts in it and you pass it back and forth. They have them in stores I have two but it looks like yours is an old one. People have put perfume and jewelry any small things you can stuff in it.
