I have a dining set consisting of a large and small buffet, table and china cabinet. I'm wanting to sell it but don't know what a reasonable price would be. Please assist. I also have a hall tree and will upload a photo later.
The other chair matches but, unlike the one pictured, does not have a crack.
I believe these chairs are from the early 1600s. Besides the fact that my grandparents told me that (they brought to the U.S. from Germany, in the 1940s,) the uniforms of the soldiers conform with those used at that time by soldiers from Oldenberg and Hanover.
The backs of the chairs are 27.5”/ 70 cm high.
The seat height is 19"/ 48 cm.
I would be greatly appreciative to get some guidance as to their potential value, and the best way(s) to sell them.
I picked this up off the side of the road and then could use Google lense to find it and it sold at auction for about $4,500 I can no longer find this item online anywhere to use as a reference point for pricing. I would love to get a time period on this and maybe am approximate value.
I cannot find anything remotely resembling this piece unless I look at prehistoric African art it's an African man in a boat and on the bottom of the boat is a swiveling fish
