Accurate Description of Item
One Limbert Arts & Crafts/Mission Style Desk
Appraiser Remarks
Charles Limbert was one of the better known makers of Arts & Crafts furniture and produced longer than most of its competitors, right up to 1918, at which time it was rapidly going out of fashion. The desks like this tend to date 1910-15. Oak was the main type of wood used, the even golden brown finish a result of using ammonia gas to stain the wood. Demand for Arts & Crafts furnishings peaked during the 1990's, but has seen a bit of a down turn since that time. There is still a strong base of collectors for it though.
Estimated Value
$800.00- $1200.00
