Colonial era mirror?

By scoutfinch, 14 October, 2023
Description

Found in the attic of an early 19th century house, irregular shaped (non-rectangular) wooden mirror about 30 "H X 20"W. Wood appears to be walnut. Wood is in good condition and appears completely intact, but the finish shows some wear and scuffing.

Mirror

I'm honestly baffled at this style. Is it trying to be George II? Queen Anne? Or rococo? (I'm not intentionally insulting you. I'm genuinely confused.) The shape is interesting. But no gilt. I have searched and searched for something similar. Based on the photos, I believe it's mid 20th century, and would probably bring $50-100 at auction.

I agree with you. Looks like a mirror for a 1930's or 40's bedroom set.
