Hi, Sometimes an appraisal…

Hi,

Sometimes an appraisal request may receive information almost immediately or it can take some time depending on fellow collectors like you having expertise on your item and commenting about it. Let’s see what some of the expert appraisers on here say about your item in case one of them may know more. Patience for appraisals is often rewarding. Hope this helps.

Best,
Joseph

These are fairly modern…

These are fairly modern examples of Japanese Satsuma, the marking is unknown. Most of these postdate world war two and were made for the export market, often originally with a paper or foil label of the company importing them. The labels most often fall off over time or were removed after original purchase. Sadly no big value currently, the style is not currently sought after, the last peak of popularity was back in the late 1980's, most now sell for under $100.00

Well we know that's not true…

Well we know that's not true because he had them appraised for several thousand dollars 2 or 3 decades ago.
