Accurate Description of Item
One Turn of the 19th Century "Golden Oak" China Cabinet
Appraiser Remarks
Cabinets like this tend to date from the last years of the 19th century, often depeicted in Mail Order catalogs of the period such as Montgomery-Ward or Sears-Roebuck circa 1890's. Oak cabinets like this last peaked in value during the late 1980's, along with the demand for Victorian decorative items. Since then though values and demand have declined a great deal, with many pieces selling for about half their peak values in the late 1980's. We'd retail one like this now in the $500.00- $650.00 range.
