Weiman French Provincial Style Coffee and End Tables with Marble Tops
Appraiser Remarks
The Weiman furniture Company of Rockford, IL manufatured higher quality furniture from 1942 or 1943 until they were bought out and the original plant closed in about 1961. This pair is in the French Provincial style. The style has gone through a number of revivals since its original inception in the mid 1700's, it seems to go through periods of popularity about every 30 years or so. This pair dates from the 1950's. Currently the style is not in vogue and values for pieces in this style remain modest , at auction comparable tables often sell for less than $150.00 each.
