Lane Cedar Chest

By jdinneen, 19 July, 2017
Description

I have a Lane cedar chest style number 48246x serial number 335280.  I know the serial number gives me the manufacture date (August 25, 1933) but I have not been able to find ANYTHING on the style number.  I have tried with and without the "x" I've also tried just the first 4 digits, as most of the style numbers I've seen seem to be only 4 digits.  I still have not found a single picture or piece of information that seems to apply to the chest I have.

If anyone has any information on this chest it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Re: Lane Cedar Chest

I doubt you'll find much information regarding the style number, Lane Produced 10's of millions of these chests in every conceivable style, this one being and Art Deco example. Values for most in very good condition tend to be under $200.00, we see them go at auction often for under $75.00.
