Accurate Description of Item
One Colonial Revival Style Bird's Eye Maple Dresser
Appraiser Remarks
Based on your images your dresser is in the "Colonial Revival Style", which peaked in popularity during the first Quarter of the 20th Century (1900-25), but the style was made into the early 1930's. The style gets its name from the fact these pieces are designed to resemble Early American furniture originally made 1620-1780.
Values for these pieces depends a great deal on the condition of the veneer, as bird's eye veneer is very prone to bubbling and peeling if the piece has been stored in overly damp or hot conditions. Pieces comparable to this one in need of some restoration now often sell "As Is" for under $250.00.
