Description

Antique chair half barrel style with cane sides oval seat

Chair size is 30" high, oval width is ~22" with a seat depth of 19".

Chair is in great condition, cane is in perfect condition

The odd feature about the chair is the leg placement.  The legs are situated like a corner chair with a front leg and cross stretchers.

I am not sure of the chair's period. Appears to be Victorian.

Re: Antique chair half barrel style with cane sides oval seat

It's a Colonial Revival style pieceand  dates from the second quarter of the 20th Century, most of these predate World War Two (1939)

Re: Antique chair half barrel style with cane sides oval seat

Thank You. I really had no idea as to the period or age; just what a seller had told me. Would you have any idea of a price range as now I feel I may have paid a bit too much. But not really I suppose as I love the them. I have two. Thanks again.

Re: Antique chair half barrel style with cane sides oval seat

Thank you for your interest. I am not sure about selling as I am just now finding out what they are. I have two and they look great where I have them. However if I do decide to sell I will post with a price. Do you have a price in mind as to what they might fetch?
