Black Americana Wood Carving

This is a hand carved Americana piece entitled 'NIGGER JOE AND HIS MAMMY". Extremely well done with alot of detail. Signed R S 1908...bottom of the base reads Philadelphia Tobaggan C  Special Advertising. It measures approx 12"w X 8"d X 14"t. I don't know anything esle about this except that my brother in law bought it some where in Canada years ago. Would be nice to find out some info on it.
