Antique Morris push button recliner made by Royal Chair Co.

By kmadams, 16 May, 2015
Description

I have a push button recliner made by Royal Chair Co. that I purchased in 1988. It was reupholstered in the late 1990s and is in very good condition. It has a pull-out foot rest with built in magazine rack/basket. Push button still works.

The plaque on the back reads:

" Royal Chair Co., Sturgis Mich, USA,

Royal Easy Chairs, Push the Button-Back Recline

US Patent numbers 1046571-1037565-648715  635452-705171-978386 1046693-1018460 1087526"

The wod is in great condition, as is the upholstery. But the push button has partially cracked off and there is a small tear in the footrest fabric from a loose screw under the chair. we've now tightened the screw and the upholstery texture means that I could easily repair the slight tear without it showing.  Also, I have extra upholstery fabric.

I would love an appraisal and, depending on the price, could be interested in selling it.

I was thinking around 625 to recoup what I put into it.
