Re: Flora by Richard Franklin

History:

Richard Franklin was born in 1961 in Virgina. Franklin began his career as an artist in  1987 when he started doing commercial arts at the Phoenix Institute of Technology. He was a neo-classical artist and most of his works depeicted women. Richard Franklin died at age 35 in a plane crash. Your item was painted in the late 1980s or early 1990s. "Flora" was one of his well known pieces. Judging by how vibrant the colors are, your item seems to be a reproduction but I can not be 100% sure unless I examined it in person.

Market & Value:

There are not many collectors looking for Richard Franklin's works but if this was an original, to the right buyer, it could be worth up to $2000. Sadly, a framed reproduction in the frame and the condition of yours would be worth about $100 to the right buyer.

If I was any help, I'd appreciate an accepted comment! Thanks!
