Description

My grandmother gave me this vase, and she has been to so many countries, she can't remember where this came from..haha. Very pretty Cobalt blue with gold trim, solid, with circles of floral pattern and also red floral patterns. 1 on each side, so 2 of each pattern. Pillow shaped, about 3 inches tall. No marks on the bottom, unfortunately, but it's sooo pretty! Would love to know anything about this special piece..thanks so much! Luv u guys! :)

Re: Cobalt Blue Pillow Vase, floral w/gold trim. Thoughts?

Do the flowers have a bit of moriage (or a raised pattern)  It looks like it may be Chinese or Japanese with a bit of a stylized lotus flower on the  side.  It looks more Chinese than Japanese.

A beautiful piece for placing some flowers or bulbs in. I agree the design and enameling looks Chinese, value I have no idea. It doesn't appear very old to me but a lovely display piece nonetheless.
