Japanese Imari Vase

Description

The vase is a clear blue-white, square in shape, tapering wider toward the top, ending in a curved arch. The Neck tapers gracefully to a circular lip. The sides are covered with Japanese stylized paintings of bamboo and blossoms in greens, blues and red-browns. The signatures on the bottom are clearly visible in blue and red.

Anything with a mark like " Imari Ware" is quite modern, 19th Century Imari was never marked in this fashion. You should be able to look up the mark here:
