Wedgwood cream & sugar set

By marckymarc711, 18 May, 2009
Description

I had these left over from my mother's collection. Watching the Antiques Roadshow, I realized from the color and pattern that they might be Wedgwood--I checked and they are.

The engraved marks underneath each piece say WEDGWOOD on top and MADE IN ENGLAND on the bottom. In between the two is the number 36. There seem to be a couple of other small indistinguishable marks on the bottom--I'm not sure if those are some sort of code or something else.

Re: Wedgwood cream & sugar set

These are Wedgwood jasperware, which has never really been out of production since the 1760's. This set is 20th century, Wedgwood used a date code on their pieces. Here's a link to date codes
http://www.thepotteries.org/mark/w/wedgwood-date.html
Values are modest for the newer pieces, $20.00- $35.00 for most
creamers, sugars etc....
