2 photos of the early Beatles

By issys, 15 April, 2009
Description

Two 8X10 photos in mint condition, one is of John Lennon by himself sitting on the bow of a boat. Second photo is of the four beatles plus manager Brian Epstein and of Michael Aronow. Photos are of the early beatles Circa 1960s. Michael Aronow at that time was a builder of luxury boats for the rich and famous. I believe these photos have never been published and are from a personal collection of Michael Aronow. These two photos were given to my sister as a gift back in 1994. My sister has had these photos for the last 15 years and just found them by luck after all these years. Am looking to sell these phots and don't know what they are worth. Thank you very much.

Re: 2 photos of the early Beatles

Don Aronow was building the boats in the 60's he was murdered in 1987, Micheal is his son and you must assume Micheal has rights to this photo now. Michael Aronow is still alive. Do you have provenance that these were a gift to your sister from him? Before selling these you would need proof that you & your sister have full rights to the image if not you need to state in writing who has the copyrights or have it in the photo itself.

I do not know who you would contact for this type of thing, probably Micheal Aronow... Fabulous to have but can be tricky to sell to a reputable person because they can not copy them without permission from the original owners.... Good luck.

Found the group photo copyrighted by Michael Aronow here on the bottom of a brochure. http://www.historicraceboats.com/membersboats.htm

Click the white # 16 boat and download the full brochure, that group photo is at the bottom.
