Description
As some of you know I collect blue and white china of all dates and makers. The mark on this is so "flowed" I can not make it out. The crown on the circle made me think Worcester or Doulton but i have searched far and wide and i can not find anything similar.
The pictures are very clear but look blurred due to the flow of the blue. There was gold on this plate at one time that I did not see until I took the photos and blew them up.
Any help would be appreciated. Lovejoy ??? :) Please

Lovejoy....do you know anything about china? I came across a maker called W&E Corn, (England) that has a similar mark on its old flow blue but the ones I saw where still readable.

The marking is what's referred to as "Garter mark", they were used by a large number of Staffordshire potteries with very little variation with the exception of the letters/name /initials in the center. These marks have also been used on reproductions purposely blurred to hinder identification. You need a copy of "Encyclopedia of British Pottery & Porcelain" by Goddens to look up the mark.
