Re: Royal Munich plate - Marseille

Dates to around turn of century. The plate was more than likely manufactured by Zen/Zeh Scherzer & Co., Bavaria.

From what I can see online, it would sell for between 30.00-70.00 $.

Re: Royal Munich plate - Marseille

I have the same plate that my grandmother gave me. From the research that I did, Marseille refers to the pattern shape of the china blank before it's decorated. This makes sense because my plate is the exact shape with the handles but the painting is a little different.

The Z.S. & Co refers to Zeh Sherzer & Co and the Varia should be Bavaria (I think the Ba is smudged on your plate). If you send an e-mail to me at [email protected] I'll forward a picture of my plate to you.
