Faberge Style? Egg- Turquoise-y Blue, Gold, Rhinestones, Inside Crowned mini Egg

By rockcrazed1999, 27 March, 2009
Description

It is a turquois-y blueish color on the outside with crisscross pattern of what looks like some garland/leaves over the blue. At the intersection of 4 garlands is a crest symbol. The crest is of two birds with a crown between their heads, a shield over their bodies, 3 tail feathers hanging out below the shield. In the left foot (as you look at the egg, the birds right foot) a scroll ar stick is being held and in the other foot a ball.
Is the blue an enamel? It almost has a light sparkle to it.Maybe "pearlized" is a good word to describe it. But NOT like a glitter. it's very faint. In between each "garland circle" the blue enamel seems to have a starburst appearance. At the top of the egg is a circle of diamonds.
It is hinged at the bottom and opens vertically to reveal a very detailed, diamond (probably not real but, just calling them diamonds for ease of reference)encrusted mini egg with a crown on top of it and a cross on top of that. That is also hinged but, opens horizontally.
The inner color of both eggs is a light mustard yellow.
It sits on a gold base that is painted the same yellow color on the underside when you turn it over.
I have scoured the internet to find anything even remotely similar and tried to search the makers mark but, really can't find anything.
Any information you may be able to provide on it's origin, history, and value would be great!

I just bought this at an estate sale b/c I absolutely loved it. The occupants were world travellers. It is stunning in detail and was very simplistic in its beauty.

Hi,

Is there any way that you could get a close-up photo of the maker's mark? I know you said that it's tough to read, but a photo may just help.

Re: Faberge Style? Egg- Turquoise-y Blue, Gold, Rhinestones, ...

Hello!
I tried numerous variations and settings to get a good close up of the mark. The best I could get is in the picture of the underneath with the white tag on it. The mark is in the tiny oval just to the right of the sticker tag.
I wonder if you can enlarge it?? I will keep trying.
Thanks for the help!!
