Amethyst/diamond sterling necklace and earring set

Description

This is a 15" link style sterling chain necklace with 31 diamonds, 30 small ones and 1 a bit larger, 10 of which surround the biggest amethyst. There are 5 amethysts on the necklace. The earrings dangle pendant style and are also sterling with 10 small diamonds surrounding an amethyst on each with a curly q of silver at the top.

Honestly I don't believe any jeweler would waste that many genuine diamonds on a sterling silver piece, so there is a good chance those are Cubic Zirconia. The amethyst stones also look like they might be colored CZ because of how dark they are (but it's hard to tell since the picture is a bit fuzzy).

It's hard to say without actually seeing the piece in person, but I would say this is a modern piece and probably not an actual antique.

Jewelery really needs to be physically examined to determine what the stones are. Nobody can tell you much from a fuzzy image.
