Description

Painting is bouquet of flowers.  The paint is built up so much that it appears to be coming out at you.  Not sure if the frame is the original.  Any information would be great.

Re: Flower Painting

Oil paintings of this type tend to be decorator pieces sold at "Starving Artists" type sales in department stores during the 1970's. Like any original art item really need to be physically examined to determine  their origins and value. Nobody can authenticate oil paintings from an image,or even determine that it's an oil painting or a Giclee´. You can attempt to find biographical information on the artist here:

Askart.com or artprice.com

Re: Flower Painting

I just bought myself a painting by this artist myself, and I'm not sure if the last comment is correct or not. Mine is large, about 3'x5' maybe. Again mine appears to be oil as well and I can see brush strokes in it. It is a real canvas as well. That commentor may be right but I'm looking into it as well. The signature is sometimes on the right and sometimes the left. There was one sold on Etsy which you can look up claiming it to be vintage 60's and from France originally? I don't know about that. If I find out more I will let you know. Mine is also sculpted in the same way.

Giclee paintings I don't believe were sculpted on canvas. I can not find info pertaining to that.
