It could be bride's basket.  It came from grandmother and yes, it does need a good cleaning.  She won't let us touch it.  Any suggestions on getting value?

Because it is a silverplated item makes it most difficult to assign a value to it. The repousse wok is very desirable, but as tarnished as it is there is no way of telling of any plate loss or damage. A few more photos would help also.
