CHANTILLY STATUETTE

Description

THis statuetee of beautiful.  Near mint condition except the hand is broken off but I do have the hand.  Can't find this anywhere on the internet.  It must be rare.  Please help.  I feel this is something that is a very rare find.  I'm thinking it could be from Chantilly back between 1725 to 1789.  I wish......

The blowhole in the base looks correct for an early piece of earthenware. You should have it looked at by an expert. Probably 18th century from what I see.

This is not a genuine example of Chantilly porcelain. Chantilly pieces were marked with a Hunting horn symbol, first in red and later in blue. The pieces themselves would have no gold decoration, as this was against the Royal decree ( The French Royal Family controlled the monopoly through the Sevres porcelain works). Based on what I can see it's unlike this piece predates 1890, and of a type often used as lamp bases. I'll see what I can dig up for you.
