Armorial Vase, Yung Cheng Dynasty

By Hamishtear, 24 January, 2008
Description

A note we received with these stunning vases reads:' "Famille Rose" style of enamels w/rose pink dominant characterized by elegance of shape, softer colouring and feminine refinement.

Coats of arms were made to order by the Chinese in 'hard paste porcelain before that technique was perfected in england in around 1781 (New Hall was 1st. to discover the formula). '

Lack of a 'reasonable' hall mark is puzzling. Very indistinct mark is impossible to photograph and seems primitive and child-like in execution - but is dentical on both vases. Could be a reporoduction?

Armorial Vase - Yung Cheng Dynasty

Thank you - but please clarify - do refer to a photo of the vase itself (which I 'attempted' to send - or to a photo of the mark?
