Wool wall hanging or tablecloth

Description

Patriotic wall hanging or possibly tablecloth.  Deep orange wool fringe around the outside.  Crossed applicate silk(?) flags with shield in each red corner block.  Center block is US seal on white background...embroidered.  Words "United" and "States" applicate on blue blocks above and below seal.

This was my great grandmother's. She aquired it, possibly, from her parents. Her father was said to be a Mason. Pre 1900. I would like to know what it is.
