Vernis Martin Gilt & patent decorated Vitrine Curio Cabinet

Description

This was purchased we believe, in Europe approx. 1929 by the guy who invented and sold the "japanese black" paint used on all of Fords cars.  A rich guy.  Probably made in late 1800's to early 1900's.

Vernis Martin Gilt & patent decorated Vitrine Curio Cabinet, marble slab on the top which is somewhat damaged.

Made of wood with paintings & curved Glass on all four sides.
Distinguishing marks
Beautiful paintings on the sides. Curved glass enclosure, 1629 is stamped on the bottom edge.

Approx. 4.5 ft. x 1.5 ft x 1.5 ft.
Date Period
Likely Late 1800's - early 1900's. Louis XV style we think. 1629 stamped on the bottom, may be a serial number. We don't know.
History
We believe it was purchased by the wealthy guy who invented and sold the "Japanese Black" paint Ford used on all his cars back in the 20's & 30's. We think it was purchased in France but are not certain.
