Lamps similar to this are still in production, most of them post date the 1970's. The underwriter's mark is not that of a maker , they are a world leader in product safety testing and certification. For more than 100 years, manufacturers have had their merchandise evaluated and tested for safety risks by them. We'd retail one for about $200.00 as a decorator piece.
