By Tulsacp, 30 June, 2009
Description

This Telescope is made of brass and the main shaft is covered in leather. The end has a leather covered cylinder that slides out to help remove the brass lens cover. The cylinder has a strip of purple velvet to prevent it from sliding off. The form fitted leather case has a small brass plate riveted horizontally with 'H.G.Wells.' in cursive engraved on it and is lined with purple velvet. The leather covering on the actual telescope has a similar riveted brass plate with 'The "Pelican" Deerstalker' in cursive engraved horizontally on it. "Fleming & Co. London" is engraved in cursive by the eye piece.
