The dryer folds into itself. About 12-15 in. in height when folded down. It was purchased in Prescott Arkansas around 1966-1967 new  at the Sears store. It still works- has adjustable neck to fit down over the head.

Sorry to say, as far as I know there is no collectors group for domestic hairdryers that I'm aware of. Such items have very little resale value in the current market, quite often at auction they have to be placed in box lots to get a bid. On Ebay they often list under " Buy it Now" for less than $10.00.
