the parc monceau oil painting by claude monet

By kelburn, 26 August, 2008
Description

blank_pageIt is an oil painting of "THE PARC MONCEAU" and is signed in the lower right hand corner in red letters Claude Monet and then numbers that look like 767 but the last number is not fully visible. The only signed painting i found online from claude monet was of a hay stack also signed in red with 90 after it but in the lower left corner. I believe it was the original. ok, here are some new facts i didn't mention before. The back of this frame has an old saks fifth avenue sticker on it. Also, the wood frame has SFA705 written on it and there is also a price tag of 200 dollars. I was told this painting hung in a gallery of some sort..would the nails "which are u shaped" and hanging wire give any indication of how long ago this pic was framed?
