pain furniture of boston coffee table

By stephanie88, 18 August, 2012
Description

modern looking coffee table... very solid. interesting that the top of the table comes off? that part seems to be a piece covered in wood veneer which perhaps was built after?. there is a marking under the table indicating that it is a paine furniture of boston pieceand wood markings referencing grand rapids bookcases and chairs with some faded numbers. the bottom of the table legs have silver pegs.  the surface is very smooth and overall the whole piece is extremely sturdy. found it on side of road outside a house with an old rolled up carpet on top of it. was surprised it was in such good condition.  wondering what is the vintage and worth. i really do love the piece and will probably keep it. just wondering the backstory. thanks for any info. and glad to have found this site!
