Description

all I know about this trunk is that it was left in a old building on the property that my grandfather bought among other antiques. this trunk has a compartment that comes out and also has the origional skeleten keys to go with it. It is a wonderful piece and any information about the company who makes it or the history of the trunk would be greatly appreciated. also the value would be nice too! thank you for any info u can give.

Re: old trunk

These are generally referred to as " Steamer Trunks" as they were often used for travel by ship, Circas 1890-1920, the flat tops allowed the stacking of trunks one on top of the other. Values for them depend on condition and maker. In the rough they generally sell at auction for under $75.00.
